Common Left Hand Position
Problems for Cello and Bass
Sloped Fingers
The fingers should be perpendicular
to the neck of the cello or bass. If the thumb is pulled out of position,
or the wrist is collapsed, the fingers sometimes slope and point toward
the bridge. This will affect intonation and dexterity.
