Common problems with violin and viola hand position

Not only does the collapsed wrist pull the fingers out of position,
it puts tremendous strain on the tendons. This is a recipe for carpal
tunnel syndrome.
In the correct hand position the wrist is straight, and the fingers
nicely curved.
