Ear Training

Ear Training is a crucial component of effective string teaching. There is a tremendous amount of evidence which leads to the conclusion that the ear of the young string player must be trained melodically and harmonically before the student is introduced to note reading. When students are relying on their eyes instead of their ears to play music, the result is poor musicianship.
